The spokesperson of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif met with Afghan Consul General Hafiz Mohibullah in Peshawar on Wednesday to discuss issues of mutual interest and regional concerns.
The Consul General raised concerns about Afghan refugees in KP, the Afghan market, and obstacles faced by Afghan students in Kohat University, said a handout.
Dr. Saif assured the Consul General of KP government’s commitment to resolving these issues on a priority basis, citing the province’s religious, cultural, and fraternal ties with Afghanistan.
He emphasized that Afghans are considered brothers, with two generations having grown up in KP over the past 40 years.
The meeting also stressed the need to enhance mutual relations to further strengthen ties between the two countries.
The KP government spokesperson pledged to provide all possible support to address the concerns of Afghan refugees and students, reaffirming its commitment to helping them in every way.
