KP govt creates ample investment opportunities: Taimur Jhagra

The provincial minister for finance and health Taimur Saleem Jhagra said on Wednesday that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa offered multiple opportunities in different sectors for foreign investments, adding that all possible facilitation will be extended to interested foreign investors.
He made these remarks while inaugurating the office of international IT firm Affinity in Peshawar.
Speaking at the event, Saleem Jhagra said “Afnity is an American IT company which has opened an office in Peshawar. It is the first office in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, before which it had offices in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi”. The provincial minister claimed that Afiniti will provide employment opportunities to more than 150 IT graduates of the province.
The Managing Director of Afiniti Pakistan Usman Asghar was also present on the occasion. Timur Jhagra highlighted the importance of providing favorable conditions for large companies to invest in the province.
KP was neglected by big companies but now the business environment has changed as major companies opened their offices in the province, he added.
“Afiniti will be a major investor to enable more international companies to invest in Peshawar,” he claimed.
Mr Jhagra also announced to provide favorable conditions to big companies, highlighting measures such as providing land for setting up their offices, especially for the corporate sector with PDA support.
On this occasion, MD Infinity Usman Asghar appreciated the efforts of the KP government, especially the IT Board.
