KP Govt increases arms’ licenses fee

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has increased arms license fees up to Rs 20,000 under five-year renewal policy. According to a notification issued here Tuesday by the KP Home and Tribal Affairs Department, the license fee for pistol, revolver and shotgun has been increased to Rs 10,000 for KP while license fee for all Pakistan in the same category was fixed at Rs 15,000. All the previous KP licenses would be computerized at Rs 5,000 fee each under the policy while all Pakistan license fee has been fixed at Rs 10,000. APP
Similarly, fee for per cartridge has been jacked up at per Rs 40 cartridge and an exchange of arms or ammunition charges is Rs 2,000. The new fee to obtain license of prohibited bore’s arms included 222 and 223 was fixed at Rs 40,000.
The new rates for Individual Duplicate License (IDL) have been fixed at Rs 1,500 while fee for renewal of IDL has been increased to Rs 3,000.
In case of transferring arms’ business to another place the owner would submit Rs 100,000 and transfer of license fee could be made by paying Rs 40,000 charges.
