KP govt to allocate 80pc of development budget to ongoing projects: CM Gandapur

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has said that 80 percent of the development funds in the upcoming financial year will be allocated to ongoing projects, with new schemes added based on urgent public needs and in consultation with elected representatives.
Chairing an important consultative meeting on Friday regarding the annual development program (ADP) for Kohat Division, the Chief Minister emphasized the timely preparation of feasibility studies and PC-1s for proposed new projects, said a handout.
The meeting was attended by Members of the National and Provincial Assemblies from all five districts of Kohat Division, the CM’s Advisor on Finance, officials from the Planning Department, and senior divisional administrators.
CM Gandapur underscored that projects nearing completion will receive full funding in the next budget to ensure their early completion. He also directed that all tube well solarization initiatives be fully funded. Special focus will be placed on drinking water supply schemes in the southern districts. The meeting reviewed the progress of ongoing development projects and discussed proposed initiatives for the next fiscal year. Sector-wise briefings were presented by relevant officials.
The Chief Minister instructed public representatives to submit timely proposals for new schools and colleges, especially where current institutions are operating in rented buildings. He stressed that no district should remain without a District Headquarters Hospital and no tehsil without a Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, directing efforts to upgrade service delivery in existing healthcare facilities. Additionally, the meeting addressed the allocation of royalty funds for oil and gas producing districts.
The Chief Minister assured that Kohat Division will receive its full 100 percent share of royalty in the upcoming budget.
He also announced a special development package for the communities in Kurram that have supported the government in restoring peace.
