PESHAWAR
In an administrative reshuffle, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government issued transfer and new posting orders of 12 more senior officers.
According to a notification issued by the establishment department here on Thursday, Muhammad Ali Sheikh, a Grade 20 PCS officer, currently working as member board of revenue, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Kohat division, while his predecessor Shaukat Ali Yousifzai has been directed to report to the establishment department.
Mr Tashfeen Haider, PMS BS-19 officer, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bannu has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary Energy & Power Department.
Similarly, Muhammad Qaiser Khan, PAS BS-19 officer, currently posted as DC Dera Ismail Khan has been directed to report to the establishment and administrative department.
Muhammad Anwar ul Haq, PMS BS-18 officer, additional Director Food, was also transferred and posted as DC Bajaur and his predecessor Captain (Rtd) Muhammad Zubair Khan has been directed to report to the establishment division with immediate effect.
Mansoor Arshad, PMS BS-18 officer, presently posted as Director (Admin) Excise & Taxation, has been posted as DC Dera Ismail Khan.
Under the new changes, Adnan Farid, PAS BS-18 officer, DC Charsadda, has been transferred and posted as DC Lakki Marwat.
The DC Tank, Hameedullah, PMS BS-18 officer, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary Sports & Youth Affairs. He was replaced by Muhammad Shoaib, PMS BS-18, posted as Additional Secretary Sports & Youth Affairs.
Apparently due to the provincial government’s lack of effective strategy, senior officers were transferred from one post to another two to three times during the month.
The recent changes in the bureaucracy are continuously drawing allegations of political consideration and favoritism in the transfers.
Official’s documents and records showed that more than 20 DCs have been transferred and directed to report to the establishment department.
After remaining Commissioner Kohat division for seven days, Shaukat Ali Yousifzai was transferred and directed to report to the establishment department.
Moreover, DC Bajaur, Captain (Rtd) Muhammad Zubair Khan was changed twice in a week.
