KP is burning, no one is there to ask about it: PHC

Chief Justice (CJ) Peshawar High Court (PHC) S.M Attique Shah while giving remarks in a case has said KP is province of 4 crore people which is burning but no one is there to ask about it.
The contempt of court plea on non implementation of decision of larger bench related to flaws in criminal justice system was heard by Chief Justice S.M Attique Shah and Justice Ejaz Khan in PHC Thursday.
Chief Secretary, advocate general and home secretary KP appeared in the court.
CJ PHC inquired during the hearing of the case chief secretary should tell why the decision of larger bench was not implemented. There is nothing in the report which has been presented by you. We have asked for strengthening the prosecution.
CJ PHC Attique Shah remarked this province is of 4 crore people. Province is burning but no one is there to ask about it. The Southern districts are burning due to terrorism. No one can go to DI Khan, Tank and Kirk. I was going to DI Khan but I could not go there due to security reasons.
CJ PHC said you are senior officer of the province. what is going on in this province. Officers of prosecution department don’t go to the backward districts. When our woman judge can perform duty therein then why the other officers don’t go there.
The CJ PHC remarked it is matter of shame that DNA samples are sent to Lahore from this province. One DNA test incurs expenses of Rs 11 lac while there is no laboratory in the province for DNA test.
The CJ PHC said people are facing difficulties. Take steps to allay the hardships of people. We will give the order for taking action if any one of our own is not working.
Chief Secretary KP Shahab Ali Shah said in the court please give two to three weeks I my self will see it. We have worked out report and we will share it with the court too.
The CJ PHC said we give one month time. The officers be relieved who don’t work. Whosoever are good be appointed. If any political interference is being made then tell us.
The court adjourned further hearing of the case till July 01.
