PESHAWAR: The Local Government Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Saturday launched ‘Shin-Pekhawar’ drive with an objective to make the city clean and green. In this connection the necessary guidelines was issued to Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) besides horticulture officers and heads of gardens of all towns of the provincial metropolis to take practical steps for making Peshawar clean and green. The aim of ‘Shin-Pekhawar’ was to take measures for creating public parks on suitable places besides planting saplings on empty places and all those lands situated nearby the roads throughout the district. It has also been decided to develop green-pitches alongside the main roads and inside town’s streets in order to ensure clean environment to the residents APP.
