PESHAWAR: The provincial caretaker minister for youth affairs, sports and science and technology Dr. Najeebullah has said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is all set to provide subsidized loans to youth and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through Bank of Khyber. The minister said that the overall aim of the loan scheme initiative approved by the provincial cabinet is to promote youth entrepreneurship and reduce the pressure of unemployment in KP. He expressed these views while presiding over a here on Friday. The meeting was attended by the representatives of Bank of Khyber, director general science and technology department, Sher Muhammad and other senior officials. Dr. Najeebullah said that the Bank of Khyber will offer loans on a very low mark-up under the State Bank of Pakistan scheme, adding that the unemployed youth of the province will be able to start employment through obtaining loans and entrepreneurs will be able to face the current economic conditions.
