Tordher calls for farmer-centric approach in KP tobacco board setup

An important consultative meeting held here on Wednesday with Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Industries Abdul Karim Tordher in the chair, reviewed the preliminary draft legislation for the proposed Tobacco Board in the province.
The proposed board was being considered in light of the potential devolution of the Pakistan Tobacco Board to the province.
The meeting was attended by key stakeholders, including Additional Secretary of Agriculture Dil Nawaz Khan, Director General Agriculture Research Dr. Abdul Rauf, Director Agriculture Murad Ali, Deputy Director of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan Ayaz Muhammad, former member of the Pakistan Tobacco Board’s Board of Directors Muhammad Ayaz, Secretary of Pakistan Tobacco Board Fakhruddin, Legal Officer from the Law Department Saima Sohail, and other relevant officials.
