KP sets up complaint cell in population welfare department

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Population Welfare Department has established a complaint cell to ensure the prompt and transparent redressal of public grievances and improve service delivery across the province. According to an official notification, the complaint cell has been constituted with the approval of the secretary of the Population Welfare Department. The director general of the department will serve as chairman of the cell, while the deputy director (Administration) and deputy director (Merged Districts) have been appointed as its members. The department said members of the public could register complaints and submit suggestions during office hours through its official telephone number, 091-9219052. It said all complaints received through the complaint cell would be addressed promptly in accordance with the prescribed procedures. The department said the initiative aimed to improve transparency, accountability and the quality of public services by ensuring the timely resolution of grievances. It added that the establishment of the complaint cell would strengthen institutional performance and enhance public confidence in the department’s services. DLP Report
