DLP Report
PESHAWAR
Special Assistant to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Transport and Mass Transit Samiullah Khan on Friday conducted a surprise inspection of various stations of the Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system to review passenger services and operational arrangements.
Without prior notice or official protocol, Mr Khan stood in the ticket queue alongside commuters, purchased his own ticket and travelled on a BRT bus to assess the service from a passenger’s perspective.
During the visit, he interacted with commuters and sought their feedback on the quality of services and facilities available at BRT stations. He also invited suggestions for improving the efficiency, comfort and accessibility of the transport system.
The special assistant inspected station facilities and operational arrangements to identify areas requiring improvement and reviewed the performance and responsibilities of station staff.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Khan said citizens deserved safe, reliable and dignified public transport facilities. He said effective governance required public officials to engage directly with the public to better understand their concerns and evaluate the performance of government services.
He said the provincial government, under the leadership of the chief minister, remained committed to providing efficient, accessible and high-quality public transport services across the province.
