KP wins three gold medals in National Junior Badminton Championship

In the ongoing National Junior Badminton Championship 2024 in Lahore, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa players showed excellent performance and won 3 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals. In the Under-15 final singles competition, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Haseeb defeated Muhammad Rayan Khan to win the gold medal.
KPK’s Muhammad Rayan Khan won the silver medal. In the Under-17 singles final, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hamdullah defeated Salman Khan from Punjab to win the gold medal. Similarly, in the Under-19 singles final, Punjab’s Ahmed Gujjar defeated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hasher. And Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hasher won the silver medal.
In the U-19 doubles competition, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Muhammad Zaid and Najam Al-Saqib won the gold medal by defeating Fahad Ahmed and Hamdullah, while Fahad Ahmed and Hamdullah, also from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, won the silver medal. Director General Punjab Sports Board Khizar Fazal Chaudhry distributed prizes among the players.
The team was coached by Hayatullah. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Badminton Association President Zafar Ali Khan, Secretary Amjad Khan and Finance Secretary Sadaqat Shah congratulated the players and coaching staff on this success and said that after the excellent performance in the Quaid-e-Azam Games that concluded in Islamabad a few days ago, the badminton team has now also presented a brilliant game in the Junior Championship in Lahore, which is the result of the tireless work of the players and the professional services of the coaching staff.
He expressed hope that the KP badminton team will achieve more successes in the upcoming National Games.
