PESHAWAR
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has said that the people of the province would play a pivotal role in Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) ‘Haqiqi-Azadi-March’ against the incumbent government, saying “KP will play a front line role in making the march successful and gain the objective of the march on Islamabad”. He said that free and transparent elections were the remedy of all problems.
He said that PTI chairman Imran Khan has decided to make the nation free from the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) led ‘imported government’ and termed their policies anti-people and unwise.
Addressing the PTI parliamentary leaders meeting regarding preparations for the upcoming independence march, the Chief Minister said that the incumbent federal cabinet was engaged in a prejudiced approach to achieve its personal gains through immoral politics and for this purpose, it has also stopped budgeted transfers of the province.
“The people have become well aware of their nefarious intentions and are committed to going all out to get rid of these political goons,” he added and said that the incumbent government came into power through an alleged regime change operation.
The government is unaware of the political and financial instability or high time inflation, they are only focused to serve their personal interests, he alleged.
Mahmood Khan clarified that the ‘imported rulers’ had come into power with the only aim of protecting their wealth obtained through corrupt practices in the past.
The people of KP stand firm with Imran Khan against the federal government and would participate in the march, he added.
“The funds committed under the current fiscal budget are not being provided to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, which is an inappropriate and undemocratic behavior”, he said and added that the non-payment of the development budget of the merged districts is a reflection of the nefarious intentions of the federal cabinet.
The chief minister regretted that the imported cabinet, in a futile attempt, has gone all out to create financial instability in KP as it has withheld the due payment to the province under Net Hydel Profit.
He categorically stated that there will be no compromise on the rights of the province, adding that the provincial government will utilize all the available options to get the due rights of the province.
He said that the imported rulers are not capable of running the federation; they do not have any concern with national interests. He said the recent flood was a natural disaster and a national issue, but the federal government has even politicised this natural calamity. The flood relief package of Rs10 billion announced by the imported Prime Minister has not been provided to the province, which clearly indicates that the imported rulers have no concern for flood affectees and are not interested in their rehabilitation, he remarked.
All the members of the provincial assembly and cabinet members, on this occasion, reiterated their commitment that they will not hesitate to make any sacrifice to achieve the rights of the province, in addition to stating that thousands of people from their respective constituencies will take to the streets in the upcoming real independence march because the people want to get rid of the incompetent rulers at all costs.
