Provincial govt is legally bound for sharing the details of the amounts spent on coronavirus

The leader of the opposition in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) assembly Ikram Khan Durrani on Friday demanded complete scrutiny of funds spent on Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and coronavirus activities in the province.
Moreover, he asked for the formation of a joint government-opposition commission to investigate irregularities in the BRT project.
For Covid-19 funds, Durrani called for a parliamentary panel to investigate corruption.
Akram Khan Durrani said that the provincial government should reveal the documents of BRT buses procurement with the name of the company for a fair and transparent scrutiny process.
Opposition leader Ikram Khan Durrani said that the incumbent provincial government was bound to share the details of the amount taken from the federal government for controlling Covid-19 pandemic in KP.
The provincial government is legally bound and responsible for sharing the details of the amounts spent on coronavirus, adding that Corona epidemic again rising government preparation in this connection must be in accordance with international level.
