Kushal spins Nepal to 56 runs win against Oman in T20 Tri-Nation Cricket Series

Right-arm leg break spinner Kushal Bhurtel spun Nepal to 56 runs victory by taking three wickets for just 10 runs in his 1.5 overs against Oman in the ongoing Twenty20 Tri-Nation Cricket Series being played here at Maple Leaf North-West Ground, King City here.
Kushal Bhurtel played a key role in his team victory and restricted Oman from chasing the target and thus Oman bundled out for 101 runs in 17.5 overs.
Oman won the toss and elected to field first by inviting Nepal to bat first, Nepal while batting first set 157 runs target for the loss of seven wickets. Nepal two openers Abil Sah and Aasif Sheikh failed to click and went early with |Anil made only 11 runs off 5 balls with one boundary and a six, and Aasif made only 16 runs off 14 balls with one boundary and one six, Dev Khanal made 18 runs and Kushal Malla scored 18 runs off 26 balls with one six.
This was middle order Rohit Paudel, the skipper, hammered unbeaten 56 runs off 44 balls with two boundaries and four towering sixes. Khushal Bhurtel scored 11 runs, none of the other batsmen could cross the double figures.
Nepal batsmen completed their team 50 runs in 5.1 overs (31 balls) with 10 runs extras while it reached to the 100 runs in 14.1 overs off 85 balls including 17 extras. RK Paudel played a key role by smashing his 50 runs off 38 balls including one boundary and four sixes. Nepal raced to 150 runs in 18.4 overs off 113 balls
Thus Nepal made 157 for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs with 20 extras.
For Oman Fayyaz Butt was the most successful bowler who claimed three wickets for 23 runs in his four overs spell, Kaleemullah, Shakeel Ahmad got one wicket each.
In reply to their 157 runs target, Oman did not take a good start and lost their openers quite early apart from skipper Aqib Ilyas who contributed 22 runs off 26 balls with one boundary.
Kashyab Prajapati went for 2, no 3 batsman Shoaib Khan was caught by Aasif Sheikh off Shakal on 9. Only Zeeshan Maqsood was the high runs contributor who smashed an elegant knock of 35 runs off 30 balls with three towering sixes. Pratik (12) was the other contributor, none of the other batsmen could cross the double figures.\
Oman batsmen failed to click as Oman completed 5r0 runs in 6.3 overs off 33 balls while it raced up to 100 runs in 17.1 overs off 1034 balls with four extras run.
For Nepal Rijan Dhakal claimed two wickets for 17 runs in his two overs spell, and Sundeep Lamichhane got two wickets for 12 runs in his four overs spell while Kushal Bhurtel was the most successful bowler who claimed three wickets for 10 runs in his 1.5 over.
