After the Industrial Revolution in the Western world, the vices of investors increased, against which exploitative ideologies also emerged. Socialism laid the foundations of trade unions. The plight of workers in industrial centers and factories has escalated. The work was done for many hours.

Labor Day began with the labors’ demand for eight hours of work in 1886. Trade unions and trade unions and other socialist organizations demanded eight hours of work every day in factories.

On that day, the American laborers went on a complete strike. On May 3, a workers’ protest rally in Chicago was attacked, killing four laborers . Hey Market Square gathered in a working protest against the brutality. Police tortured the workers to stop the protest. Meanwhile, a police officer was killed in a bomb blast. As a result of which many workers were killed and dozens were injured, on this occasion the capitalists arrested the labor leaders and hanged them. However, there was no evidence against them that they were involved in this incident. He laid down his life for the cause of the workers’ movement and clarified the justice and impunity of the capitalist system.

Every year on May 1st, Labor Day is celebrated all over the world.but even this day the laborers still work. There are 62 million labor works in Pakistan… The brutal treatment that the laborers have to face from their owners during their labor is indescribable. they are treated inhumanely everywhere.

Rising inflation in Pakistan is eating away at the flesh of these helpless people. Hunger and poverty are rampant in their homes. Their children survive by eating unhealthy food and drinking dirty water. Neither society nor economy, no one adopts, but Every day they leave home with the hope that someone will take pity on us….

When we use the word laborer, only the image of a working man comes to our mind, while a hardworking woman is also called a laborer.

A laberor woman works in people’s houses from morning to evening, accompanies men in the construction of buildings, carving stones in the streets, making bricks in kilns and working in factories at low wages
…. I think a working woman has to face more difficulties than a working man, because after a hard day’s work, a woman has to come home and do the housework. The grief of working women on the one hand, they also face a lot of hardships at the hands of their owners

That is why Labor Day is celebrated not only as a tribute to working men but also as a tribute to working women. On this day, voices are raised for the protection of the rights of working men and women Because both men and women together play an important role in making the society economically strong If we want our society to be prosperous then we have to pay these hard working men and women for their hard work and give them their due rights.
