Lack of fund suffers construction work of Rescue 1122 center, Landi Kotal

Shortage of funds has discontinued construction work on Rescue 1122 center in Landi Kotal for the last nine months, C&W and Rescue 1122 officials informed.
Sub-Engineer, C&W (building) said that the whole project cost seventy million rupees however so far less than ten million rupees had been released to a contractor.
He maintained that repeatedly they sent their demand for provision of fund but to in avail.
If the development fund is supplied, the project will be completed as early as its completion period, he remarked.
An official of Rescue 1122 in district headquarter, Jamrud said that with the hectic efforts of their highgup, a separate sub-station of Rescue 1122 was approved for Landi Kotal but the construction work was delayed by deficiency of funds.
As soon the concerned department supply fund, the more rapidly will be completed the building work, he added.
Residents of Landi Kotal expressed regret over the non-serious attitude of the concerned departments and said that local station of Rescue 1122,a must to tackle emergencies locally.
Maroof Afridi, a social worker while commenting on the matter said that previously the area deprived of the relief services although with approval of structuring Rescue 1122 center locally, convinced the tribesmen of Landi Kotal that they would avail relief services being provided in other Rescue 1122 centers.
But ironically, for the last nine months, construction work on the center had been suspended due to lack of funds that put a question mark on the efficiency of the provincial government.
He demanded of the Members Parliament from the constituency and concerned highup to forthwith address the issue, provide funds to resume building work on the Rescue 1122.
It is to be mentioned here that Rescue 1122 service commenced on 8 January, 2020 in Jamrud, district Khyber.
