KHYBER: Emergency service of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Rescue 1122), Khyber official who passed away last day was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in Sur Kamar village of Jamurd on Thursday. It is to be mentioned here that last evening, the deceased Rescue 1122 official identified as Ikram Khan who executed his duty as medical technician was killed in gun firing in his office. Director General Rescue 1122 Dr Khatir, Director General academy/operation and coordination Dr Muhammad Ayaz, District Emergency Officer Syed Shoab Mansoor, Baryal Mukhtyar besides a large number of Rescue 1122 workers, relatives of the deceased,locals and people from different parts of life attended his funeral prayer. The officials put floral wrath on the coffin of the dead Rescue 1122 official. Dr Khatir Ahmad paid tribute to the killed official and said that the department was deprived of honest and hardworking volunteers who provided medical aid during hundreds of emergencies. Being part of the medical team of Rescue 1122, Shaheed Ikram Khan rendered great service for the welfare of the people and would be remembered for long, he added. Our Correspondent
