LHC dismisses the petition seeking removal of Imran Khan from PTI chairmanship

Lahore High Court (LHC) has dismissed the petition seeking removal of Imran Khan from PTI chairmanship declaring it in-fructuous.

The petition seeking disqualification of Imran Khan came up for hearing before a 3-member bench of LHC presided over by the Chief Justice (CJ) LHC Amir Bhatti Monday.

The petitioner Afaq Ahmad advocate appeared in the court pleading that Election Commission (EC) is not disqualifying Imran Khan from the chairmanship of PTI.

The CJ LHC remarked “ your petition has apparently become in-fructuous after Election commission proceedings. Your problem stands resolved after EC notice.

Advocate Afaq Ahmad said “ my petition has not become in-fructuous so far. My arguments be heard after Azhar Siddique petition.

CJ LHC Amir Bhatti remarked “ Azhar Siddique Sahb now Imran Khan himself has become petitioner. The petition from the voter of the constituency is apparently in-fructuous .

Azhar Siddiqu said “ I accept Imran Khan petition is running in single bench.

The court wrapped up the petition seeking removal of Imran Khan from party chairmanship declaring it in-fructuous.

The court also dismissed the petition filed by voter of constituency against the disqualification of Imran Khan in prohibited funding case being withdrawn by the voter
