LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has fixed for hearing petitions filed against Punjab defamation act-2024. Justice Anwar Hussain will hear the petitions of same nature on April 13. The court has given time to counsel of government of Punjab to file reply. The petitions said clauses in clash with constitution have been included in Punjab defamation law. New defamation law will end freedom of expression. People will be subjected to political victimization under this law. It is requested to court to declare null and void the clauses of defamation law which are in conflict with constitution. Online
