LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has given time to Advocate General office to file reply till tomorrow on the petitions filed against local bodies act-2025. The petitions filed by JI and other parties came up for hearing before Justice Tanvir Sultan of LHC Tuesday. Azhar Siddique advocate and Ch Zulfiqar Advocate appeared on behalf of the petitioners. DG Law commission said delimitation of constituencies will be started with reference to local bodies election after January 10. Two and half or three months are required for completion of delimitation of constituencies. Local bodies will be got held within 60 days following the completion of delimitation of constituencies. Azhar Siddique counsel for the petitioner said government statement be made part of the record that election will be held on party basis. According to act the local bodies election has to be held on non party basis. ONLINE
