Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday sought details of first information reports (FIRs) registered against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders for participating in the rallies to welcome ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif. During the hearing, LHC has barred police officers from harassing PML-N workers and supporters and directed to hold proper investigation into the matter.
At least 20 cases were lodged against PML-N leaders and supporters for holding unpermitted rallies to welcome Nawaz Sharif.
