LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has wrapped up contempt of court plea against DPO Kasur. The contempt of court plea against DPO Kasur came up for hearing in LHC which was wrapped up by the court in the light of report. Chief Justice (CJ) LHC Aalia Neelum took up the petition for hearing. DPO Kasur Aftab Phullarwan appeared on the order of the court. During the hearing of the case CJ Aalia Neelum inquired from DPO Kasur doe he file incomplete report. The CJ LHC remarked how you file report. Reference, date and other details were not recorded therein too. The courts don’t work merely on apprehensions. CJ LHC said the report of DPO was incomplete. On the occasion Assistant Advocate General (AAG) Waqas told the court reply was filed in haste. Due to it the letter regarding disposal of the petition could not be attached with report. DPO Kasur Aftab Phullarwan informed the court the decision on respective application was given on August 11, 2020. Later the DPO while expressing regret with the court assured to remain careful in future. Upon it the court wrapped up the contempt of court plea. Online
