Following acquittal of Asia bibi from blasphemy case by Supreme Court (SC), her lawyer has left the country. Saif ul Maluk, counsel for Aia Bibi was facing life threat for contesting the case of his client. Before his departure to Europe, the lawyer 62 said at airport that his stay in Pakistan is next to impossible in the prevailing situation. He held he has to fight more legal war for Asia Bibi and in this situation his remaining alive is imperative. When asked about uproar by religious parties he said the circumstances are unfortunate.
but they are not unexpected.
It is matter of regret that the government here failed to seek compliance of the orders of top court of the country, he added. How struggle should continue for the sake of justice.
He underlined that his client either remains in prison or remains free while facing life threats, her life will remain alike till the decision of appeal.
