Islamabad : Former Captain of Pakistani ODI cricket team Azhar Ali has announced his retirement from limited over cricket.
Talking to media in press conference Azhar Ali said that it’s good time to announce retirement from One-day International and he wanted to focus only on test cricket now and prefers to play Test cricket.
He added that the new boys are performing well and can take the team forward and that why I’m leaving spot for new comers.Talking about Pakistani Captain he said that Sarfaraz Ahmed is a good man and a good captain too and he’s leading the team quite well and I’m well satisfied with his performance as a Captain.
The right-handed batsman had made his debut against Ireland in 2011. He has scored 1845 runs at a healthy average of 36.9. In his career, Ali has made three centuries and 12 half-centuries. Ali last played an ODI match on January 13, 2018, against New Zeeland.
