DIR LOWER: Deputy Commissioner Aun Haider Gondal said Thursday that effective measures would be taken to ensure that all the ongoing development schemes were completed in a timely manner. He expressed these views while visiting a water channel at Balamate along with Executive Engineer Irrigation Department Muhammad Sajjad Khan to inspect ongoing maintenance and repair work. The executive engineer gave a detailed briefing regarding the site work and the deputy commissioner directed that work should be continued in two shifts in order to complete the work within the stipulated time frame. He said that no compromise would be made on the quality of material and directed the officials concerned to effectively monitor the work progress by paying a visit to the site on a regular basis.
