The West (Gharbi) Station Police arrested a person belonging to an organized group using counterfeit currency in Saddar Bazaar, Gora Bazaar, Deanz Trade Center.
The arrested accused identified is a resident of Abbottabad Havelian and was trying to make a purchase through counterfeit currency.
Police also recovered Rs 99,000 counterfeit currency from his possession.
SHO Gharbi Mubarak Zeb was on a routine patrol on Saddar Road when police received a tip-off and arrested the accused identified as Zeeshan.
The arrested accused is a resident of Abbottabad Havelian who has confessed his guilt during the preliminary investigation.
A case has been registered after recovering Rs. 99,000 counterfeit currency from his possession.
