MARDAN: Mardan police have booked a person for allegedly making obscene gestures at a girl student, police sources said on Sunday. The sources said the girl (H), a student of grade nine hailing from Gujjar Garhi, told the Saddar Police Station that she was going to Pohan Colony for tuition when Ejaz Malak son of Fardos Malak residence of Sharmakhanoo bridge made obscene gestures at her. However, in the same area PPP local leader Malak Ejaz son of Malak Shams-ud-Din is also living and his Hujra is also located at Sharmakhannoo bridge. It was published in the story that PPP local leader Malak Ejaz made obscene gestures which gave the impression that the PPP local leader was involved in the incident. However, it was clarified that PPP local leader Malak Ejaz’s father’s name is Malak Shams-ud-Din while in the FIR registered in the police station the accused name is Ejaz Malak son of Fardos Malak. It is therefore clarified that PPP local Malak Ejaz is not involved in the incident. Malak Ejaz twice contested election from the same provincial constituency and is a political figure of the area.
