Pakistan cricket team management and national selection committee have decided to start preparations for T20 World Cup with the series against New Zealand and try new players.
According to the details, it has been suggested to rest Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan in 2 matches, while in the series of 5 T20 matches, both players will be given three matches each.
Team management has taken this decision to prepare for the T20 World Cup scheduled in West Indies and America in June and July next year. It has been decided that Rizwan will play in one match and Babar in another.
It was discussed in the meetings that Babar and Rizwan have been opening the innings for Pakistan in T20 for the last three and a half years, but according to the policy that has been made now, Saeem Ayub will be tested as a specialist batsman, in a match with them. Babar Azam will open and Rizwan will come one down, if Rizwan opens with Saeem Ayub then Babar Azam will come one down, Fakhr Zaman should be given the fourth number while Iftikhar Ahmed should be fed at the 5th number and Moin Khan’s son Azam Khan should be fed at the 6th number.
