Minister for Human rights Shireen Mazari said Monday that conference of Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) was a ‘major diplomatic success’ of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Afghan policy.
“[OIC Summit] was a major diplomatic success for PMIK’s Afghan policy with the creation of Humanitarian Trust Fund & Food Security Programme” Mazari said in a tweet on Monday.
Shireen Mazari said that foreign ministers’ demand from United States to unfreeze Afghanistan’s financial resources was also of prime importance.
“Equally important was the OIC CFMs call for US to unfreeze Kabul’s financial resources. All these have been central to Pak’s Afghan policy” She added.
On the other hand, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said Monday that recent moot of foreign ministers of Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries was a huge success of Pakistan, adding that 437 delegations participated in the conference.
“Around 437 delegates attended this historic meeting held in Pakistan and we succeeded in establishing a trust fund for Afghanistan.” Shah Mehmood Qureshi said in a statement here on Monday.
