PESHAWAR: An important meeting held here on Friday with Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Shah Fahad in the chair, reviewed ongoing anti-polio campaign coverage in the district. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Relief) Muhammad Imran Khan, District Health Officer Dr Muhammad Idrees, Deputy District Polio Officer Dr Naveed Khurshid, Deputy District Polio Officer Dr Saifullah and other relevant officers. The forum discussed the performance and coverage of the ongoing anti-polio campaign in the provincial metropolis. DC Shah Fahad has appealed to the parents to administer polio vaccine to their children and protect them from permanent disability and to cooperate with the anti-polio teams so that the polio virus can be eradicated from Peshawar. Mr Fahad said that the district administration will utilize all available resources to eradicate polio with cooperation of parents. DLP Report
