CS-KP says transparent polls top priority

An important meeting of the secretaries committee held here on Wednesday with Chief Secretary (CS) Nadeem Aslam Chaudary in the chair, reviewed “Khushhal Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Programme” implementation in the province.
Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Additional IG Police and Administrative Secretaries participated while the Deputy Commissioners of the districts of the province participated in the meeting through video link.
The forum was given a detailed briefing on the programme announced by caretaker CM-KP a few days ago in a cabinet meeting.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa program, the people of the province will be served in a better way.
He said that the programme aimed at improving the economy and maintaining law and order situation in the province.
KP-CS said that special attention will be given to improving the system of governance and public service delivery across KP.
“Information Technology (IT) courses will be conducted for youth of the province to enhance their capacity and equip them with appropriate skills as per the requirements of the global market,” he added and said that employment opportunities for youth of the province will be increased under the programme.
Under this program, up to 500000 youth will be sent abroad for employment in the next one year. Preparations for the upcoming general elections were also reviewed in the meeting.
Transparent, free and fair general elections are the first priority of the provincial government.
The Chief Secretary directed that all necessary steps should be taken to finalize the arrangements.
Various suggestions regarding promoting investment and development in the tourism sector were also considered in the meeting.
