PESHAWAR: In a bid to maintain law and order, DSP Pushtkhara Circle Muhammad Ashfaq Khan convened a special meeting with police officers from the Circle. In a statement issued here stated that the meeting was attended by SHOs, outpost in-charges, and investigation staff. The meeting discussed steps for preventing street crimes, cracking down on drug trafficking, illegal weapons, aerial firing, and other criminal activities. Special emphasis was placed on intensifying efforts to combat aerial firing during weddings and celebrations, said the statement. DSP Muhammad Ashfaq Khan stressed the importance of targeted search and strike operations to ensure peace in the circle and urged that decisive actions be taken against crimes affecting life and property, with a focus on swiftly completing investigations into serious crimes. He also highlighted the need for coordinated efforts with eyewitnesses to ensure thorough investigations and bring perpetrators to justice. Additionally, DSP Khan emphasized the necessity of increased police patrols and special roadblocks to maintain law and order, ensuring that criminals are apprehended and brought before the courts for appropriate punishment.
