LAHORE
PTI leader Mian Mehmood ur Rashid has challenged in Lahore High Court (LHC) 10 years sentence given to him in May 9 cases. He has filed this appeal plea through his counsel Sikandar Zulqarnain. He has taken the stance in his appeal the sentence given by trial court in the case of torching police vans in Mughalpura is against the facts.
He said no evidence against him is there in the record. Therefore the 10 years sentence announced in the case be declared null and void.
It is pertinent to mention here that on June 20, trial court had announced 10 years sentence to Mian Mehmood ur Rashid in Kot Lakhpat jail in the case of torching police vans in Mughalpura.
