Minister directs district Admin to retrieve possession of Attock Press Club

Central Leader of Pakistan Peoples Party, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Sardar Saleem Haider Khan on Wednesday while addressing the oath taking ceremony of Fatehjang Press Club has directed the district administration Attock to retrieve the possession of Attock Press Club besides facilitating the deprived journalists for the performance of their professional journalistic assignments.
Sardar Saleem Haider Khan on the complaint of the journalists from Attock Press Club asked the aggrieved journalists to apprise him the updates whenever they come to his office which is always open for them.
Among the oath taking ceremony of newly elect body of Fatehjang Press Club was also attended by a large number of people from all walk’s life including journalists, doctors, advocates, socio-religious, civil society and human rights activists.
Speaking on the occasion, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that the freedom of expression was also recognized by the incumbent Government being fourth pillar of the State.
He said the importance of the print and electronic media can not denied in the present era when the entire world turned into a global village.
The journalistic fraternity is the most responsible and essential organ of our society who have to face multiple challenges for the protection of fundamental rights of the people as guaranteed under the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973 which was legislated by the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
Earlier, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan administered the oath to the elected office bearers of Fatehjang Press Club and felicitated witha hope to promote constructive and meaningful journalism in the country.
