PESHAWAR: A meeting of the Board of Governors of all model schools in the merged districts was held here on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Chairman Board of Governors Arshad Ayub Khan. The meeting reviewed in detail the academic performance, administrative affairs, financial position, existing staff strength and infrastructure requirements of the model schools in the merged districts, said a handout. The statement said the provincial minister directed the authorities concerned to ensure provision of quality education, attendance of teaching staff, improvement in academic standards and availability of basic facilities in all model schools. The meeting also discussed measures to strengthen institutional capacity, ensure timely utilisation of funds and maintain transparency and merit in all affairs of the model schools. DLP Report
The Board of Governors approved several important decisions for improving the functioning of model schools in the merged districts and reaffirmed its commitment to developing these institutions into centres of excellence.
