PESHAWAR: The Provincial Minister for Labor and Parliamentary Affairs Shaukat Yousafzai visited the historic Mahabat Khan Mosque and inspected the ongoing repair work in the mosque. On this occasion, the concerned officials gave a detailed briefing to the provincial minister on the ongoing construction work at the mosque. Shaukat Yousafzai directed the concerned authorities to expedite the work and complete the work within the stipulated timeline to ensure the use of standard material and the unsatisfactory work. He said that Masjid Mahabat Khan was also a tourist center of historical significance in the province where tourists from other parts of the country visit. Tayyab Qureshi, Chief Khatib of the mosque lauded the Provincial Minister for releasing Rs 90 million for the mosque by Chief Minister Mahmood Khan. It is pertinent to mention here that after several complaints of slow work at the historical mosque, Chief Minister Mahmood Khan had appointed a committee under the supervision of Shaukat Yousafzai.
