Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives Fazal Hakeem Khan chaired an important meeting at the Deputy Commissioner Office Conference Room in Swat to review ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts in rain- and flood-affected areas, particularly Mingora and its surroundings.
The meeting was attended by Chairman DEDIC Swat Akhtar Khan Advocate, Deputy Commissioner Swat Saleem Jan, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Mohibullah Khan Yousafzai, and representatives of relevant departments.
Briefing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Swat informed that the district administration, WSSC Swat, TMEs, Public Health Engineering, and other institutions are working round the clock on cleaning operations, drainage, debris removal, and other rehabilitation measures in the affected areas. The process, he said, is being closely monitored to ensure timely relief.
Minister Fazal Hakeem Khan directed all concerned departments to further speed up rehabilitation works so that facilities could be restored for the flood-affected population without delay. He assured that the provincial government would provide additional resources for relief and rehabilitation, and more funds would be allocated if required.
“The flood victims are our own people. They will not be left alone under any circumstances and all possible cooperation and facilities will be provided,” the minister reaffirmed.
