Police on Friday recovered a young man who had gone missing from his home in Umarzai and handed him over to his father within two days, following the latter’s appeal to District Police Officer (DPO) Charsadda Rifatullah Khan.
According to police, the youth’s father had met the DPO two days earlier and informed him that his son had left home and could not be traced.
Taking immediate notice of the complaint, the DPO directed the SHO Umarzai to launch a search operation and constituted several police teams to locate and safely recover the missing youth.
With the assistance of the police technical team, modern tracking methods were used to trace the youth. Police teams were subsequently dispatched to Swat, Islamabad, Peshawar and other areas as part of the search.
After continuous efforts, Umarzai police succeeded in tracing the young man and recovered him safely within two days before handing him over to his father.
The father later met the DPO and thanked the Charsadda police for their prompt response and efforts to recover his son. He also appreciated the performance of the police teams involved in the operation.
Police said that addressing citizens’ complaints, providing timely assistance and resolving their problems remained among the department’s key priorities.
