Mohib wants completion of ongoing schemes by June

Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Department Mohibullah Khan has directed the concerned authorities to complete the ongoing development projects in the province by the end of current financial year.
He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) Government has allocated billions of rupees for different projects in the agriculture sector which will not only improve our economy but also benefit the landowners and cattle breeders.
Mohibullah Khan expressed these views while presiding over a review meeting of the Agriculture and Livestock Department ongoing ADP schemes here on Thursday.
Secretary Agriculture Dr Muhammad Israr, Special Secretary Janat Gul and Additional Secretary Muhammad Tahir attended the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by Chief Planning Officer Agriculture and Livestock Ahmed Saeed and other officers of the department.
The participants of the meeting reviewed ADP schemes including projects mapping, establishment of seed industry, establishment of telefarming and digital service platform, controlling the negative impact of climate through Horticulture in KP, rehabilitation of arable barren land in the province and agricultural tube transfer of whales to solar energy, promoting honey production to improve economy in KP, genetic improvement of livestock through cross breeding in the province.
Community Dairy and Meat Development, Establishment of Civil Veterinary Dispensaries in Rented Buildings, Agricultural Development in Mohmand District, The introduction of environmentally controlled poultry housing system in integrated areas and the plan for agricultural transformation, promotion of olive and fisheries and establishment of veterinary facilities in integrated areas were also reviewed in detail.
During the briefing, the members were informed that the establishment of Agricultural Universities in Swat and Dera Ismail Khan, will soon start the best projects for storage of rainwater which will significantly increase the production of agricultural commodities.
The Provincial Minister Mohibullah Khan said that the ongoing and new projects of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock would be very useful for the Department of Agriculture and Livestock as well as landowners, farmers and cattle breeders.
He directed the concerned authorities to ensure timely completion of ongoing projects.
