Pakistani television actress Momina Iqbal has denied claims that she or her husband reached a financial settlement with PML-N MPA Saqib Chadhar, saying that no money deal was ever made between the two sides.
The actress, who recently married Hamza Habib, had earlier publicly alleged that she was facing harassment from her former partner Saqib Chadhar. The matter is currently before the court, while both sides have continued to present their respective claims and evidence through media appearances.
Speaking during a podcast hosted by Rehan Tariq, Momina Iqbal claimed that efforts were made to persuade her to settle the matter and withdraw from the dispute.
She alleged that influential people attempted to contact and pressure her to end the case and offered financial incentives, while rejecting allegations that she and her husband had demanded or received money as part of a settlement.
According to Momina Iqbal, her primary condition for any reconciliation was that Saqib Chadhar publicly speak what she described as the truth and issue an apology.
She claimed that there had initially been discussion regarding an apology video, but alleged that the proposal was later withdrawn over concerns about public embarrassment.
Momina Iqbal further claimed that messages were also sent to members of her family urging them to end the dispute.
She maintained that no financial agreement was reached and said the case was never settled through the payment of money.
