More than 1100 disputes resolved amicably by police

Following the directives of Inspector General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (IG-KP) Moazzam Jah Ansari, a special jirga campaign has been launched in the provincial capital to end disputes among the people.
According to a statement issued here on Tuesday the aim of the jirga was to make the citizens aware of the dangers of hostility and other conflicts.
In order to make the ongoing serious efforts fruitful, under the ongoing campaign so far more than one thousand jirgas have been convened and 1165 consents have been obtained.
Successful jirgas so far in Peshawar have resolved around 1165 disputes of various natures.
Expressing satisfaction over the ongoing jirga campaign by Peshawar Police, CCPO Abbas Ahsan has issued special instructions to all divisional SPs.
He also commended the ongoing efforts while directing the public representatives to be involved in the ongoing jirga campaigns.
He also urged the citizens to put aside their grievances and animosities and play their positive role for maintaining peace and order in the city.
