Mardan
More than 14,000,00 voters will cast their votes in the upcoming local government election, election. In this regard commission has established as many as 3,215 polling stations, in which225 polling stations have been declared sensitive, sources said on Thursday. Total population of Mardan district is 27, 330,61; however 14, 37339 voters included 806,358 men and 630,730 women voters are registered. The sources added that 251 Ahmadi’s community members including 114 men and 137 women are also registered voters.
The election commission has established 3,215 polling stations in which 225 poling station were declared most sensitive, 576 were declare sensitive and 250 were declared normal polling stations. Mardan district is included by five tehsils Mardan, Takhatbhai, Katlang, Rustam and Garhi Kapura.
Total registered voter in Mardan tehsil are 553,031 including 309,507 male voters and 243,285 female voters while 108 male Ahmadi’s community members and 131 female are registered. Mardan is included by39 NCs and 52 VCs.
A total of 11 candidates will contest election for the slot of Mardan tehsil mayor. They include Himayatullah Mayar from ANP, Lakhkar Khan from PTI, Maulana Amnat Shah of JUI-F, Asad Ali Kashmiri of PPP, Mushtaq Semab from JI and PMLN’s Syed Inayat Shah Bacha.
