More than 900,000 Afghan nationals return homeland

More than 900,000 Afghan nationals have returned to Afghanistan so far, including over 200,000 card holders, as the repatriation process continues through various border points of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to official details on Wednesday, a total of 988,812 Afghan citizens have been sent back to their country to date. This figure includes 230,470 Proof of Registration (PoR) card holders and 71,570 Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders. In addition, 686,772 undocumented Afghan nationals have also been repatriated.
Sources said that 2,312 Afghan citizens returned home on Wednesday alone. Among them were 1,522 PoR card holders, 277 ACC holders and 513 undocumented migrants, who were sent back via the Torkham border.
Authorities stated that the repatriation process is ongoing in accordance with government policy and arrangements are being made to ensure an orderly return of Afghan nationals to their homeland.
