ISLAMABAD
The KBM Care Foundation has dispatched its second consignment of essential relief materials to mosques and madris in flood-affected areas of Swat, extending vital support to communities struggling in the aftermath of recent rains and floods.
The relief consignment includes Holy Qurans, prayer mats, reading tables, white boards, and Islamic education books all designed to restore dignity in worship and strengthen learning environments disrupted by flood damage. The initiative is part of KBM Care’s Madaris Support Program**, which seeks to empower religious institutions that serve as both centers of education and community resilience.
Chairman Sardar Azmat Hanif highlighted the importance of such efforts in times of crisis. “When floods strike, they don’t just damage homes and livelihoods—they disrupt education, worship, and community life. By equipping madris and mosques with essential resources, we are rebuilding hope and ensuring that faith and learning continue, even in hardship,” he said.
In addition to educational and religious support, KBM Care has prioritized healthcare and nutritional relief for families affected by floods. The foundation distributed medicines to treat common and waterborne illnesses, clean drinking water to prevent disease outbreaks, and nutritional supplements to counter malnutrition among children and the elderly.
“Our mission goes beyond short-term aid,” Chairman Hanif added. “On one side, we provide Qurans and prayer mats to nurture faith; on the other, we provide medicine, water, and food to safeguard lives. Both are essential pillars of community rebuilding.”
Community elders and clerics in Swat welcomed the initiative, noting that mosques and madris often serve as safe spaces for learning, worship, and shelter during times of crisis. “These resources are a lifeline for our children and families,” said a madris teacher. “We can now resume classes and prayers in dignity, and our community feels supported at a time of great loss.”
The second consignment follows KBM Care’s earlier aid drive in the same region, underscoring its sustained commitment to helping disaster-stricken communities recover.
The KBM Care Foundation is recognized for its multi-dimensional approach to humanitarian work—addressing immediate needs while investing in long-term development. Its focus on education, healthcare, and spirituality ensures that underprivileged communities receive comprehensive support in times of crisis.
Chairman Hanif reaffirmed the foundation’s dedication to extending relief operations where they are needed most. “Swat’s people have shown remarkable resilience in the face of floods. KBM Care stands beside them, working to restore dignity and build stronger communities for the future.”
With this mission, KBM Care continues to be a vital force in flood relief and recovery, ensuring that both faith and survival remain protected in Swat’s hardest-hit areas.
