Motorway Police alway gives first priority to road safety: Shaukat Hayat

Islamabad (PR): National Highways & Motorway Police has planned a road safety Drawing Competition among the students of different School of Islamabad to create awareness on traffic discipline and traffic rules. This is in relation to reduce the accident rate by focusing the young people, especially the schools and colleges children.
This will also create interest and to motivate the young students on careful driving. Inspector General, National Highways Motorway Police Shaukat Hayat was the chief guest of this road safety Drawing Competition. DIG (HQ) Ghulam Rasual Zahid, AIG (HRM) Nasir Mehmood Satti, AIG (Operations) Abbas Ahsan, SSP M-1 Aftab Ahmed Mehsood and SSP (M-2) Shehryar Sikandar were also present on this occasion.
The Inspector General, National Highways & Motorway Police Shaukat Hayat said that the awareness of road safety issues has always the priority of NH&MP so that the masses can be aware about road discipline. He said that through road safety awareness programmes, we can reduce the accident rate especially by focusing the youth.
He was addressing the participants Inter-School Road Safety Drawing Competition organized by the NH&MP at DIG Motorway Zone office, Islamabad. He said that road safety is Everybody’s Responsibility; therefore, we overcome this problem through joint efforts of the community.
The IG, Shaukat Hayat said that by upholding to its core values of honesty, courtesy and help, NH&MP has won hearts of the public. He praised the efforts of these institutions for taking interest in the Road Safety Drawing Competition and urged that the students from the other parts of the country would also take part in the promotion of road safety issues among masses.
He said that NH&MP has reduced the gap between police and public. The SSP (M-1) Aftab Ahmed Mehsood presented a shield to the IG, NH&MP Shaukat Hayat. Later on IG, Shaukat Hayat has distributed the prize among the Road Safety Drawing Competition position holders namely Kashaf Laraib, Roshna of The Educators Pak road campus school, and Khurram of Pakistan Sweet Home. Abdul Hanan get special prize by making a wonderful road safety model.
