Islamabad: According to the spokesperson of the National Highways & Motorway Police, a tragic traffic accident occurred near Abbottabad on the Hazara Motorway, resulting in the martyrdom of a brave and dutiful officer, Inspector Yasir Arafat, while performing his duty. According to details, Inspector Yasir Arafat was providing assistance at the scene of a traffic accident when a speeding truck struck him from behind with great force. The impact was so severe that he embraced martyrdom on the spot. The spokesperson stated that initial investigations indicate the accident occurred due to the negligence and recklessness of the truck driver. Immediately after the incident, the concerned authorities initiated legal proceedings and arrested the driver. Shaheed Inspector Yasir Arafat is survived by his widow and four children. His martyrdom is an irreparable loss for the Motorway Police. He laid down his life in the line of duty, exemplifying his commitment to public service. Federal Minister for Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, and Inspector General, National Highways & Motorway Police, Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, expressed deep sorrow and grief over the tragic incident and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
