Motorway police recovered two stolen cars

Islamabad: National Highways & Motorway Police has recovered two stolen cars, which were stolen from the area of Police Station Civil Line, Rawalpindi and Gujranwala. As per details, a citizen named Ali informed Motorway Police through NH&MP Helpline (130) that a Mehran Car No. LEB-310 has been stolen from Gujranwala and requested for help in recovery of the said car. On this information the Motorway Police got alerted all patrolling vehicles. While checking, NH&MP officers SPO Shahid Iqbal and PO Ahmed Nawaz saw said car on Motorway (M-2) in the area of Chakri and signaled to stop but driver of the car instead of stopping it, sped away, on chasing by the Motorway Police; the three persons traveling in the said car, parked the car on hard shoulder at some distance and fled away by crossing the fence. The officer of Motorway Police took the car into their custody and informed the Local Police Chontra Police Station.
In 2nd incident, during routine patrolling on Motorway (M-1) in the area of Sawabi, PO Muslim Gul and PO Wajid Mehmood observed a Mehran Car parked on the Motorway (M-1), while no body was present in or around the car. Motorway Police officers took the car into their custody. After checking it revealed that the said car was stolen from the area of Police Station Civil Line, Rawalpindi and it is demanded to the Rawalpindi Police Later on, the Motorway Police handed over the recovered car to Local Police Civil Line Police Station Rawalpindi for further legal investigation.
