PESHAWAR: Khitab Gul (KG ) Jehan Ara Welfare Society (JAWS), a non-profit organization, and VTC Capt Isfandyar Shaheed associated with Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) on Tuesday signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). According to the agreement, JAWS will provide financial assistance and scholarships to 35 under-privileged male and female students for pursuing their six months diploma in various trades including woodwork, plumbing, electrician, auto mechanic, tailoring, electronic, cooking etc. Chairman KG & JAWS, Aurangzeb Khan and Principal CIS VTC Mujtaba Mehdi signed the MoU. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Nasir Khan said that the driving force behind the organization’s welfare activities stressed upon the students to show great interest in learning the skills that will enable them to stand on their feet and support their families. Ejaz Khan, Vice Chairman KG & JAWS assured that all those students who show interest and work hard during their courses will be given free monthly rations and after completing diplomas in their respective field financial assistance and organizational support would be provided for setting up their own businesses.
