PESHAWAR
The Al-Khidmat foundation and Pakistan Association of Private Medical and Dental Institutions (PAMI) inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to speed up relief and rehabilitation operations in flood-affected districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The provincial president of Al-Khidmat foundation Khlid Waqas and the focal person of the PAMI Dr Mukhtiar Zaman signed and exchanged the MoU documents at a ceremony held at Rehman Medical College Peshawar here on Wednesday.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr Mukhtiar Zaman said that all out efforts would be made to provide assistance to Al-Khidmat foundation in rehabilitation operations across the province.
We will work together with the foundation to provide maximum relief to the flood hit population of the province, he added.
Khalid Waqas said the recent floods have wreaked havoc in many parts of the province and teams of Al-Khidmat foundation working tirelessly to help people in the flood hit areas, adding that Al-Khidmat is the name of trust and in every disaster and difficult time it participates actively.
He said that PAMI and Al-Khidmat will work together to implement and complete a water supply project in the flood-affected area of Kohistan district, as well as the reconstruction of the mosques that were destroyed due to the flood.
The representatives of both institutions emphasized that flood victims will be helped in every possible way so that they can return to life once again
